The Basics

PREPRO is an industry term that is an abbreviation of “PRE-PRODUCTION”.

Prepro happens in the stages leading up to the production shoot dates and is where a lot of time and effort goes into making things run smoothly.

Whether you are a photographer producing your own shoots, or a producer running a crew of 200 people, PREPRO will make your life easier.

A call sheet is used to deliver information to your crew.  They have been around for a long time.  They are often bulky spreadsheets with a vast amount of data contained within it, most of which is irrelevant to the person reading it.

Key information in a call sheet:

Where?

The shoot location

When?

Their call time.

Weather

Don’t forget your hat.

Crew Members

A list of who you are working with.

 

PREPRO has been designed to save you time and take the stress of production (or at least some of it).

Making sure that your crew are in the right place at the right time is critical to any shoot.  We have to streamline that process of communicating with your crew.

We deliver your call sheet via our iOS app and email/pdf.

We track read-receipts automatically so that you know exactly who has or has not received the information that they need.

We provide a central place for you to find/manage your crew network.

Registration

PREPRO’s foundation is our production network.

It is your private database of the people that you work with.

It also allows you to refer your trusted crew members to others, but in order to find them, you need to collect some basic information.

Our unique network tools allow you to find/refer crew easily through our iOS App.  To do so we need to know what you do for a job so that people can find you.

Upgrade

Everyone starts off with the same Freelance account.  It’s free.  Simple.

In order to upgrade to our Producer account simply follow this path:

Login > Account > Subscription

Downgrade

You can downgrade at any time.  Visit your Account > Subscription and click the “Downgrade” button.

Cancel

Please email us at support@prepro.io if you wish to delete your account from the PREPRO network.

Subscriptions

This is our free tier.

You can create unlimited call sheets each.

However, there is a limit of 10 people per call sheet.

This is our unlimited tier.  You can create add as many people as you want to your call sheets.

You can also upload a custom logo to your call sheet.

We are a new company and evolving rapidly.  We have lots of useful features coming in the future.

Create and publish a call sheet
  1. Login > Books > Create Book
  2. Give your book a title
  3. Select your start date
  4. Select your wrap date
  5. Select a general call time
  6. Enter a description of your shoot
  1. Enter a title for your location.
  2. Enter the address of the location (The weather section of your call sheet will now automatically complete using this information).
  3. Add notes and parking details for your crew.  This will also be included in the email that your crew receives.
  4. Enter the address of the nearest hospital to your location.  Google Maps will help you to autocomplete this information.
  5. If you want to upload images for your location you can do so.  Remember to add a title and description for each one.  You can add multiple images in the Location Menu.  Select the gear icon beside your location title and > Add Image.

If you need to add multiple locations, use the toolbar at the bottom of the page and repeat the process above.

  1. Enter a title for your department.
  2. Drag-and-drop users from your network into the department.
  3. If your crew are not already in your network, simply drag-and-drop a “BLANK TAB” into the department and enter their NAME, JOB TITLE, PHONE NUMBER and EMAIL ADDRESS.
  4. Select the appropriate location from the dropdown.
  5. If different from the general crew call time, you can set the department call time or individual call time for specific users.

If you need to add multiple departments, use the toolbar at the bottom of the page and repeat the process above.

  1. When you are ready to publish your book.  Click the “PUBLISH” button in the footer toolbar.
  2. The button will display the time/date that the book was last published.
  3. Shoot days are published individually.
